I am wearing extensions. Am I wearing a sew-in weave? Do I have tracks in my hair? The answer to both of those questions are, NO! I KNOW, YOUR SHOCKED RIGHT! LOL I wearing a Crochet style leave out weave. I know, you are still in shock. The hair I use is the X-Supreme 100% Premium Soft and Volume Braiding hair, color number 2. I bought the extra-long packs, even though I did not want the length. I did use a scissor and razor to style the hair. I did my regular wash and blow dry routine. I proceed to braid my hair. *IMPORTANT NOTE: IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT, THE WAY YOU BRAID YOUR HAIR, WILL DETERMINE HOW YOUR CROCHET STYLE WILL LOOK*. I parted my hair as if I was going to install a weave, with a leave out of my own hair in the middle. I quickly braided down my leave out section. In the crochet section, I separated my hair as if I was doing a two-part vixen style. For the front half of my braided area, I made skinny corn rolls going straight back. Once I completed the front half, I proceeded to connect those braid in a corn roll from ear to ear. Once I connected the braids, I continued from that braid and made corn rolls going in a circle for the back parted area. Once was done braiding I sewed down the end of the braid. I proceeded to crochet in the hair. To make sure that my hair is secured I separated each installment and made a small knot. The knot is not noticeable, because I made sure I took small amounts of hair to crochet.
I loved how this turned out. I received a lot of complements on this style. in order for this style to come out looking good, I needed to take my time. However, in my opinion it did not take long. I did break my no heat challenge. I used the flat iron, and I only did one pass through on my leave out section. I put a little bit of leave in conditioner on the crochet hair and blow dried the hair. This helps the hair look and feel soft and easy to manage. It did make crochet hair a little shinny. To blend my hair with the crochet hair, I applied a decent amount of grease on my leave out section. I took a soft bristle brush and brushed the hair together. It came out great! I love it. The leave out was just the right amount. I can put my hair up in a hair ponytail, half up half down style, and more.
