Materials: *Jam, Extra Hold * 2 packs X-Pression Hair, Color 30 84inches * Rubber Bands *Hair Clip * Bristle Brush *Comb I call this L.C.B. Luscious Comfy Braids. In the past long braids were heavy. They made it hard for me to dance. I would get head acks. I would get mad that I spent all the money to get my hair done, and I wanted to take them out. I know when we get our hair done, we think about how long the style would last. I knew if I wanted my braids long I had to buy long braiding hair. When I took the hair out of the pack, I only cut it in half once. I sectioned my hair with the rubber bands. I did not want a lot of brands. So, I made medium sections. Before I braided my hair, add a generous amount of Jam around the perimeter of the sections. I smoothed out the Jam with the bristle brush. After, I grab a rubber band and rapped the same section I just gelled down. I grabbed a little less than an inch of braiding hair and proceeded to braid. (Please go check youtube on how to add hair when braiding. Also, how to box braid with extensions) The rubber band help with tension. When you have large sections, it is harder to grab all the hair, without grabbing it tightly. Securing the sections of hair with the rubber band first before adding the braiding hair, helps gave less tension on the scalp. It also helps the braids to look neater. I wanted an old-school look. So, I added a rubber band to the end of the braid as well. I repeated this step with each section. Overall, I love the style and I have no tension on my scalp. TIPS: *Heat up some water in a microwave for 3 minutes and dip the braids in the water. You let it sit in the water for at least 2 to 3 minutes. This helps the braids to have that finish look. *Make sure you have a towel. You use the towel to squeeze the water out of braids after dipping them. *Get a satin scarf. Put a generous amount of jam in your edges. Smooth out the Jam with the bristle brush and put the scarf around your edges. Keep it on overnight or before you head out. The front of your hair will be nice, neat, and smooth. Now you try!
